- A brief description of the planned purpose, capability and functionality of GCRE, which will become a major new opportunity to improve safety across the rail sector through far greater facilities to test and prove all sorts of systems, technology and process

- An update on progress towards delivering GCRE

- Description of the various opportunities to improve railway safety through a number of example areas such as:

  • removal of the human from the loop in testing
  • faster testing and development of new technology and innovations to support faster implementation of safety improvements
  • risk-free environment for testing novel and new types of safety systems
  • a representative environment to train people on the railway and its systems
  • risk free representative testing of level crossing and user worked crossing systems

- Further discussion of our low carbon sustainable construction and net zero railway operation goals.
